Youth Ministry

ABOUT THE MINISTRY

Sunrise Student Ministry exists to equip middle and high school students for ministry in all areas of life by teaching them to love Jesus and see Scripture as beautiful, coming alongside them as they go through life, encouraging and speak truth to them all the while. We believe that this is best accomplished through discipleship in four spheres: Word, Family, Peers, and Mentors.

To that end, we provide opportunities for students between 6^th and 12^th grade to be involved in youth group on Sunday nights, mission and outreach throughout the year and in the summer, lead fellow students and oversee various areas of the youth group, and experience intentional discipleship of the Word with their peers by a core group of adult mentors.

Weekly Activities

Sundays 5-630pm – Sunday Night Youth Group

Students meet for games, dinner, fellowship, and Bible study. Follow us on Instagram @sunriseumc_youth or join our Remind for weekly announcements. If you would like to provide dinner for the youth, you can sign up here.

Fireproof Youth Praise Bands

Grades 6 to 12, meet on Sunday afternoons. Middle School meets 4-5pm and High School meets 7-8pm. Fireproof leads Sunday morning worship services four to five times a year and participates in occasional outreach opportunities. No prior musical experience is required.
