Rev. Jenifer Anne Swindell was born in Pennsylvania, but has spent most of her life in the Triangle. She studied Psychology and K-12 Theatre Education at UNC-Greensboro. Her first career was as an elementary school drama teacher in High Point, before she moved to Columbus, Ohio for seminary.
At Methodist Theological School in Ohio, her Masters of Divinity specialized in church leadership with a project focused on The Internet and Evangelism. She’s helped many churches with their web and social media presence, both one-on-one and at district trainings. She is a provisional Deacon in the residency portion of the United Methodist ordination process.
Jenifer is married to Mark Swindell, and their hobbies include home improvement projects and Broadway nights at the DPAC. They live off Optimist Farm Road with their toddler, Toby. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, graphic design, and cooking. Jenifer also serves on the board of directors for the local non-profit Babywearing International of the Triangle.
