Laura Rabon

Laura grew up as a military dependent. As a child, she moved about every three years, living in Maryland, California, Japan, Hawaii, Italy and Virginia. Music has always played an integral part in her life, but her family mostly attended church on Christmas and Easter. The seeds of her faith were planted in middle school when she attended a private Christian school.

Upon graduation from Appalachian State University, she taught music in the public schools of South Carolina, led Kindermusik classes, and started attending church on a regular basis. She spent many hours developing, participating in and leading choral and praise music groups. Music, her church family, and developing a relationship with Christ became an integral part of her daily routine.

She has been an active member of Sunrise UMC since 2005. Laura is married to Jay, and they have two daughters, Elizabeth and Catherine. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, cooking and spending time with friends and family. She has owned a Creative Memories business for over thirteen years, and she is a member of the Holly Springs Civitan Club. She loves impacting children and youth with the spiritual message and gift of music.
