The Bible is filled with verses telling us to share our food with the hungry (Isaiah 58:7; Proverbs 22:9; Ezekiel 18:7; Luke 3:11; Matthew 25:34-40). The Holly Springs Food Cupboard embodies these words every day by collecting, storing, and distributing food to Holly Springs area residents in need.
Founded and operated by Sunrise UMC members, the Food Cupboard provides essential relief for our neighbors experiencing financial hardship. Contribute to this incredible ministry by dropping off non-perishable food to the church at any time. And keep an eye on our event calendar; we hold food drives several times a year!

Our March Madness Food Drive resulted in a massive delivery in 2023! 
Beginning in January 2023, Sunrise began sponsoring the peanut butter shelf at the HSFC. It was a nutty idea, but it resulted in Sunrise more than doubling our food contribution from 2022 to 2023! 
December marks the peak of giving for the HSFC, while the summer months are much slower. Sunrise celebrated Christmas in July in 2022 by making sure the shelves stay stocked during the height of summer. 
In 2019, our youth competed in the Grocery Store Game to engage with local hunger needs.
