In January 2023, Sunrise committed to keeping the peanut butter shelf at the HS Food Cupboard stocked for hungry folks in need for the whole year. It was a huge success (we more than doubled our food contribution from 2022!!!), so we decided to run it back in 2024! Throughout the year, you can contribute…
Both our Sunday morning worship services will feature Sunrise’s talented and faithful students as musicians and as panelists discussing all things youth-related, hosted by Pastor William. We’ll be talking Pilgrimage and ASP, then broader topics like our hopes and dreams for the future of Sunrise. We hope you’ll join us at 9am or 11am.
On the First Sunday of Advent, we will celebrate together by decorating our sanctuary in a Hanging of the Greens service. We hope you’ll join us as we welcome this merriest of seasons as a church family.
As we have in years past, a small group of Sunrisers are headed to the Dorothy Nixon Allen Manor to celebrate the season on Sunday, December 8th. We will provide lunch and entertainment for around 30 of their senior residents. While we can’t bring a huge crowd to this event, we do hope you’ll consider…
There are so many reasons Advent and Christmas are the most wonderful time of the year. But for some, this season brings worry, stress, grief, and hurt. On the second Sunday of Advent, December 8th, we will offer a Service of Hope and Healing at both our 9:00am and 11:00am worship times to make space…
Wear your pajamas, bring a movie snack to share, and celebrate the season with us on December 8th! We’ll be watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and we can’t wait to see you there.
Our annual Christmas Cantata is set for December 15th! We will hear music from our handbell choir and our seasonal vocal choir at both our 9:00am and 11:00am services.
On the final Sunday of Advent, we have prepared a special surprise for you! Triadic Vocals, a semi-professional a cappella group based in Raleigh, will be performing in both of worship services! We cannot wait to share the talents of this incredible group with you. Do not miss this!
At 7pm on December 24th, you’re invited to join us for a traditional worship service including classic hymns, the Christmas story, and candles. We hope you’ll spend this miraculous evening with us.
It’s finally here! All our anticipation culminates in our Christmas Eve worship services, starting with our 4pm Children’s Nativity. Led by Karen Maness, expect singing, scripture, and a flurry of glowsticks to shine a heavenly light on this most special evening.
