Since 2015, Sunrise has partnered with New Horizons Fellowship Church in Apex for their Christmas Store initiative to help local families in need during the holidays. Parents/guardians are referred by groups (like the Holly Springs Food Cupboard) to come to this two-day event in early December, and are given the opportunity to shop for 2-3 gifts for each child at no cost to them.
Some time in November, an angel visits Sunrise’s lobby to bring us over 100 tags, each one representing a family whose Christmas will be made merrier by contributions of toys, books, art supplies, sports equipment, and even training bicycles! This giving opportunity is a Sunrise tradition that we are proud to continue this coming holiday.
