Hi everyone! I am so happy to be serving as your Preschool Director, helping our staff and families enjoy these early years of childhood. My family and I have lived in Fuquay-Varina since 2020, and my husband and I are both NC natives growing up in Durham and Raleigh. We have two children- Cora, age 9, and Braydon, age 7. I love to spend time with my family, pet my very fat cat named Apollo, read all kinds of books, and spend as much time outside as I can!
I began my career with children and families at 16 when I began to volunteer with the children’s ministry at Raleigh Rescue Mission, going from a volunteer, to teacher, to the director. I continued to work with families at Raleigh Rescue Mission while I earned my degree in Human Services Management and a certificate in Early Childhood Development. From there, I worked with the Salvation Army providing case management for families experiencing homelessness but eventually returned to the preschool world through directing the preschool at Millbrook United Methodist in Raleigh, where my oldest child, Cora, attended preschool.
After our move to Fuquay Varina, my son, Braydon, attended preschool at Sunrise, and I quickly joined the staff as a teacher in the 2 year olds class. Now that I am taking over the director role I’m excited to see how the preschool can continue to nurture the families that come to us, teaching them all about God’s love and getting them ready to take on the world!
